About Tandoori Grill Indian Cuisine
We are located on the corner of Main Street and Northlands BLVD on the second floor.
If you are coming from the North via Lorimer Road. The Tandoori Grill is on the opposite side of the street from Mount Currie Coffee Company. We have wheelchair access via the elevator located in the middle of the building.
The meat is first marinated in a savoury blend of Royal spices, then barbecued in the Tandoor on skewers over a high temperature of 320 °C (600 °F). A quick stove-top finish follows to ensure succulence.
Tandoori nan bread is baked vertically in the Tandoor and various varieties of stuffed nans, such as the nutty Peshwari nan, are offered on the menu.
Tandoori Grill’s gluten-free menu also features a great VEGETARIAN MENU. ** few exceptions **

We had a wonderful lunch at Tandoor Grill and thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. The garlic naan was fresh and flavorful, the chicken tikka was perfectly cooked and packed with authentic spices, and the bhindi masala was delicious and reminded us of true North Indian home-style cooking. The food was flavorful, authentic, and clearly prepared with care. The staff were courteous, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we would happily return the next time we’re in the area.

We ordered the first time garlic narn, butter chicken and chicken tikka this time we ordered garlic narn and butter chicken again but changed the tikka out for tandoori chicken. Can not fault a single thing was so good. Highly recommend

Longer Notes: Originally we had intended to go here once on this trip. We enjoyed it so much we ended up coming back again. The butter chicken is maybe the best butter chicken I've ever had, it really well highlights both the flavours of the tomato and cream together. I also really enjoyed the Mango lassi. Of the starters I had, I'd recommend the vegetable samosa or the fish pakora.

The main lift in the building was out of service due to maintenance, but the owner was absolutely amazing — he went out of his way to guide us through the staff lift so we could get in comfortably. There was also an accessible toilet in the building, which made things much easier.The food was fantastic, very authentic Indian cuisine, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely staff, great atmosphere, and a big thank you to the owner for looking after us so well.

The butter chicken stood out immediately, infused with a subtle touch of coconut milk that gave it a unique twist. At first bite, it feels completely different from the usual butter chicken, with the tomato notes rising gently afterwards. The chicken itself wasn’t plain, it was grilled and marinated to perfection, layered with just the right blend of spices. That balance created a silky, deluxe texture and a flavor that lingered beautifully. The portion size was generous — easily enough to pair with a plate of rice and a plain naan. Speaking of naan, it was exceptional, grilled at the perfect temperature, crisp on the outside like a croissant, yet soft and flavorful inside. The seating was spacious, the service attentive and warm. Overall ratings: solid 9.5/10
