Desi Indian Lounge

My wife and I recently visited Desi Indian Lounge and had a wonderful experience! The service here is truly exceptional; both the manager and our server went above and beyond, even making an effort to remember our names, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The overall vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant are amazing, clean, and beautifully set up. For our meal, we ordered the paneer pasanda and naan. The presentation and look of the food was a perfect 5/5, and the taste was fantastic, easily a 4.5/5. To end the night, we ordered the malai ghevar for dessert. While it was nicely prepared and looked beautiful, it didn't quite hit the mark for me personally compared to versions I've had elsewhere, though it was still a decent try. Overall, between the stellar hospitality, great presentation, and lovely ambiance, this is a solid spot for Indian dining!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Desi Indian Lounge to provide my window cleaning services, and I was absolutely blown away by the ambiance. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant is a visual treat—filled with stunning floral decorations that create a warm, elegant, and inviting atmosphere. While I was there, I performed a deep clean on the front store windows. It was a satisfying job because the space is so beautifully designed; seeing the glass sparkle and shine really highlighted how gorgeous the interior is. I take pride in my work, and it was rewarding to see the front of the restaurant look its absolute best. Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the food, and I am so glad I did! The meal was incredible, but the highlight for me was the Mango Lassi—hands down, the best I have ever had. It was the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and creamy. I truly hope the team at Desi Indian Lounge enjoys the results of the clean as much as I enjoyed my meal. I am looking forward to building a long-term working relationship with them and can’t wait to come back (for both the windows and the food!). Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a premium dining experience.

Excellent food and service. Very friendly owner. We had the fish and prawns to start and we shared the lamb chops. The sprout salad and pulao rice were brilliant accompaniments. Beautiful marble table and ambience. Would highly recommend!

Went here today for Mother’s Day high tea. Didn’t know what to expect for an Indian high tea but it sure did not disappoint. The decor is nice and very welcoming staff. I have an allergy to nuts and they made a whole separate tray of treats for myself. The owner, Deepak came out to check up on us and see how we were enjoying our visit. The drink options were varied and nice. You can get a chai tea or you can get a mango yogurt mix drink. As well you can get this coconut Sakura drink which has a fizzy texture to it. As for the food and treats for the high tea - this is by far more filling than any other high tea I’ve ever attended which was a refreshing change. Some of the foods reminded me of The Empress back in Victoria - had a half sandwich with cucumber and cream cheese and dill - which is so tasty and light. There was also a chicken bao which was interesting for a high tea. There was also a tofu croissant which was my favorite. There is a henna tattoo artist who just moved here two years ago and she was telling us how she is an engineer but that henna art is her passion. Very friendly and personable. If you are looking for an upscale but not pretentious place for good eats, then this is the place to go.
